Volunteers from our community and the communities within Teso have been valuable to our work, from fundraising to building and to establishing working groups to help train communities to encourage selfsufficiency.

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**
- Establishment further funds to finalise construction of a water bole hole to allow better access to fresh water and alleviate the burden on community members (especially Women and Girls) of collecting water for crops and sustenance.
- Grants for the gift of sheep to promote sustainable farming within the Tisai community
- Grants for tailoring projects.
- Funded research into local community social enterprises to establish a better understanding of how charitable support can be used to aid sustainable community developments that can help to avoid grant giving as sole means of supporting communities.

Primarily Funds come from fundraising at local community events and social media for wider donations.
The risk of abuse of funds is present in the work that we do, this is mitigated by the dual authorisation of funds via a trusted source. Our Ugandan links have set up a community account with the Finance Trust Bank Uganda. Community groups are expected to make group decisions on how they feel funds should be utilised for the benefit of their wider communities. We seek written evidence of how money is spent to ensure that money is not being used for purposes other than intended.
