which prowdes educats'onal support, advic* and training for the teaching
staff.. the local Pdish parish Church - religious education is provided by
the priests and catechist who also Prepare children for their sacraments of

lessons pupils have the opportunity to join activities ai the same location.

Classes are availabbe to anyone who 1$ interested in leaming about the
culture. history or geography of Poland and the Polish language. Most
puiils ha￿* some connection or at least one parent or grandparent
of Polish origin: some pupils will have been bom in Poland whilst many
are UK bom. <XCAsionally have students WIK) wish to attend for other
reasons.
The school has strong links with the local Polish parish - the priests and
cate¢hist$ take the RE lessms and help prepare the children for the
sacraments of communion and ￿nfi￿atIon RC masses are celebrated
as required at the schcd.

Achievements and performance
This &ademic year there were 393 registered puiiils
Numbers went up slightly due to the dosure of another school which was
based nearby.

Three new texhers joined at the beginning of the year and at the end of
the year six teachers also left- some retumed to Poland while others
had moved away from London.
Covid 1 ￿ ￿Th11St the school was a￿e to operate and run dasses onsite,
we hal to continue to akn'de by numerous restrictions.. one way systems,
harmd washinglsanitising, face masks. limrted contact etc. School hours
intrCMJu￿I for the pandemic Ftriod were maintained (eadier start and
finish for younger pupils. separate breaks)
Activityes paiticularfy at the beginning of the academic year had to be
kept Icyw key.
The traditional Sl Nicholas festivities were reintroduced however without
the usual sthool ma&8 and the pupils were split into two groups to avoid
having too many peo￿8 in the hall.
By the end of the spring term Year 5 vmre able to tske part in the re
enactment of the Stations of the Cross
ThroUg￿Ut the year various collections were organised to support other
causes., wam) wnter dothing arKI toiletries were donated by parents for
the homeless. Following the outbreak of the war in Ukraine members of
the schooi were encouraged to contribute to bona fide organisations eg
collections organised by the Polish Educational Soaety. Instigated by
parents a c￿le(lI0n was organised for Gregorian masses for one of our
long serling teachers who lost her lrfe to Covid 19.
The school suppx>rted Police Cadets recrurtment- pupils were able to
talk to current cadets to see if thi8 was something that they may bo
interested in.
A trip was organised for the pupils to Laxlon Hall for Childrens day.
Online training for teachers was organised by Polish Educational Society
to promote Polish language learning through games and play.
Examinats'on eentres were once again allowed to hold GCSE and AL
exams on their premises. Dewte the disrupts'on in study due to the Covid
19 pandemic. 21 puyls from our school sat the GCSE exam and 4 sat the
AL exarn.

This year the school receiv&J donations from StOW8rzyszenie 'W8pOlnota
Polska.. There was also an uneX￿ed donation of £45,000, from the
estate of the late G Underhill.
The largest expense is the hire of the school premises followed ty wages
for the I8￿h1￿￿ Staff {at jU8t over the minimal wage) and the treasurer.
