During 2024 we have seen further changes for the Overstone Playing Field Association. The aim of the association in 2024 was to make the playing field better known to the village and local community along with making sure improvements can be made during the year.
During the year the members remained exactly the same. We are always looking for new members from the local community and hopefully we can welcome some new people in during 2024.
We continued our fundraising efforts this year. We held quiz in in March which, as always had a great turnout. Our OPFA family fun day was back this year and we had a great day all round with the highlight as always the plate smash provided by Albion Clerance Service. Another event we hosted this year was a silent disco at the local village hall which was a hit.
The grant we received for the previous year to get new benches was used and will be installed in early 2025.
Moving into 2025 OPFA will look to continue to bring further funds in to develop the playing field equipment and continuing to promote the field via our Facebook page. OPFA will also continue to keep the field a safe space along with promoting the use for health and fitness for all of the local community and an enjoyable safe space for the children as well.
