OBJEcfivES ANDAcfiviTIES Objectives and aims The objects of the charity are.. for the benefit of the public to relieve the suffering of animals in need of care and attention and, in particular, to pry)Yide facilities for the reception. care, birth control and treatment of such animals, 2nd to promote humane behaviour towards aniTnals by providing approptiate care and treatment for animals which are in need of care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatJnent, poor circumstsnces or ill usage and to educare the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare in general and the prevenuon of cruelty and suffering among animals. The trnstees have complied with the requirements of the Charity Commission with regard to public benefit. Signifitant artivities During the year The Chri5 Richardson Fund received a grant of £150,255 from the Himalayan AniTnal Treatment Centre UK of which the trustees are the same (charity number 1115822). ACHtEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE The charity was established by a legacy from the estate of Chris Richardso The charity awarded gt7nts amounting to £11,000 in the year. FINANCIAL REVIEW At the year end. the funds of the charity amounted to £168,875 The charity aims to retain enough funds for urgent appeals and to ensure that sufficient cover is available for on- going projects. STRucfuRE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT Governing docutnent The charity is established as a Foundation Chatitable Incotvorated Organisation with a constitution dated 23rd October 2017. The trustees are appointed by the existing trustee5 as and when a need atises,. the trustee body meets on a regular basis to consider the making olgrants from the charitable lunds. Responslbllltles and basls of report As the charity's trvstees you are responsible for the prepardtion of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the ACV). I report in respect of my examination ofthe charity's accounts carried out under section 145 ofthe Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions g'ven by rhe Charity Commission under section 145(5)Ib) of the Act Independent examlner's statement I have completed my examination. I confirn] that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any matetial respect accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the Act,. or the accounts do not accord those records I have no concerns and have come across no other Matte in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper undetanding of the accounts to be reached. Fund Accounting.. Unrestiicted funds are those that can be expended at the discretion of the trllstees in the furtherance of the objects of the charity. Taxation The eharity is not liable to Llx on its charitable activities. The charity is not registered for VAT. ItTecoverable VAT is included in the expense to which it relates.
