The 2023-2024 year has been a successful year for the charity.
We continue to meet (￿r ch8ntable aims and objectives
We continLJe to maintain a level of incomè that is suitable for our aims.
We continue to manage our finances effeckn"vely.
Under the musical leadership of Jamie Coor*r. our Musi(*l D1￿Clor, the organisation continues to develop. Jamie's
dedication and hard work are enhancing the abilty and musicalty of players across the band. His leadersNp ￿MaInS
integral to oui progress, ensuring ongoing improvement and h￿h standards in our perfornian￿.
Recruitment remains a thallenge. reflecting broader drf￿CuIkn.es ￿thin the brass band movement in attracti￿ skilted
musicians. However, our commitment to maintaining a high standard of musi(ianship means that any vacancies are
carefully filled to support the band's long-terni development.
We have successfully fulfilled our schedule of events and charilable activities over the past year and fo￿See no obstacles
lo continuing as a going concem. Our financial stability allows us to plan wth confidènce, ensuring Ihal we can continue
to operate effectively in the coming years.
A key focus remains the support and growlh of youThJ musicians. A significant proporb.on of our expenditure is dedicated
lo the running of our Youth, Training. and Beginner bands. By invests.ng in the next generation of musiaans, we help lo
sewre the future of the barKI and the wider brass band communty.
We are also making progress towards the goals outlined in the 'Middleton Band Roadmap., which provides a clear
strategic direction for the next five years. This framework guides our efforts to enhance musical quality, slr8nglhen
engagement. and ensure the long-temi Success of the charity-

The Charity's Trustees are ￿spOnsIble for the prepardtion of Ihe ac￿unts. The Charity's Trustees consider that an audit
is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charit￿$ Act 2011 IThe Charities Actl and that an indfjpendent
examination is needed.

Follow procedures laid down on the general direclions given by thè Charities Commission (under section

Basis of Independont Examiner's Statsrnent
Our examination was carried out in accordance wth general direction5 given by Ihe charib.es Commission. An
examinatron includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Charity and a comparison of the accounts presented
th those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking
explanations from the Trustees concemtng any such mattefs. The Pr¢￿edureS undertaken do not provide all the evidence
that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and
fair, view and the r8port is limited to those matters set out in the statement bglow.
