1112623. The centre 8cts as a hub ft)r anyone affected by cancer. providing information, support and
relaxing atmosphere where people can lalk freely. Patiants. carer5. family and friends are offered a wide
range ol free f8CtIIUes whlch Includes complimentsry ther*pie$ 0$ well #$ advlce and counselllng.
Most peop18 ar• affecled by cancer during their lives and many find this 8 Iraumatlc and lonely 8xp8ri8nc8.
The Centre aims to help and support anyone g0Sng through the emotional up$et of cancer. from d18gnosis
onwdrds. be thoy patient8, thgir pyrlners, chiklren, friends. QT carers.
The ¢hafity offers a safe, relaxing. friendly envlronmenl where mutyal support and inforrnalion can be
found, wllhoul Iho prgSSUTg of appointments or time reslralnts. They offer a wlde rango of complomentary
Iharaple8, such as reflexology. reSkl. heallng and massage.. also nulrilional advlce, yoga 8nd counselllng.
All the servi￿£ are avallÈblÈ to bÈneflclÉrles fr88 of charge and therefore the ch8r5ty requlres grant
funding and donations.
• The charity has m8de a gr8nl to an Individual. Mrs X who granlgd a payment of £1,000. She has
an elderly mother who requlred a serlous operation lust bgfora Christmas and Mrs X is her sole carer.
Mrs X, h8rsglf has cancer that has now spread through her neck, chest and lun98 due lo delayed
procedures and thecks. Mrs X also needs knea replacement surgery. She was struggling to kgep up
th all her bllls du8 to an accldent she had forcing hor to slop working. dug to th8 lack of mobility and as
a result sha was stnjggling hug8ly financialty but needs holp wlh her hor88s and gardan. Th8 grant wa8
made to offer h8r some 8$81gtsnce.
The charity aims to d151ribute all Sts Income on an annual basls bul there m8y be reserves rèmalnlng due lo
income in readin$s¥ for distribution lo worthwhlle prolects. In the long tern it is planned for some form of
investmgnts to be donatsd and thu¥ allow Ihe charity to raise its oym funding for worthwhilg Causes.
