Donnington Partnership is a registered charity with 7 trustees who have overall
responsibility for the Partnership's business. Trustees are elected each year at the
Donnington Partnership Annual General Meeting.
The organisation was established in 1997, became a registered charity on 28th February
2011. changed to a CIO in 2017 and is governed by a constitution dated 2017.

ob'ectives and activities:
The Charity's objects are to promote such charitable purposes for the benefit of the
inhabitants of Donnington Telford and Wrekin as the trustees shall determine, including the
advancement of education, relief of poverty arKI the preseNation and protection of good
health.
The charity works closely with a locally oiganisations who meet with the trustees to help
address local issues and help to meet the charity's objects through the following ways..
1. The Charity runs a community ￿ntre which provides social, leaming and training
opportunities to the public and local residents.
2. The charity provides a volunteer managed communty café. a suc￿Ssful community
café with a team of volunteers, three employed positions, The cafe provides affordable
healthy meals in the community hub daily and a meal delivery 8ervice to vulnerable
Indivlduals and older people'8 clubs in the local area. The café volunteers receive
valuable skills and confldence-building tralning along with work-based experience and
it has supported many people back Into employment through this route. The café also
provides a meal delivery servSce, a buffet catering servlce and hosts food taster
promotion events for the local communlty to try different types of food.
3. The Charity also looks after the local communty Orchard with 3 volunteers.
4. Organises other ad-hoc provisionl facilits'es as and when need arises, which is directed
by the needs of local groups.
5. Throughout the year the Donnington Parthership also host several meetings arKI or
events that are aimed to encourage and stimulate community engagement and
involvement; a community engagement meeting is organised every 6 months, which is

6. The Charity has a weekty youth dub in the summer changing to a IOrtn￿hfy youth dub
in winter Nn by volunteers. and all ty to encourage other members of the

7. Tr charity se&ks and applies to extemal furKling bodies, where appropriate, to support
its charitable aims. It has a strong history of being very successful in obtaining grant
furKling and wY)rking with partner agencies to deliver projects and activities that have
Iped to address issues, provided improvements to seNices and facilib'es in the
community and strengthened local communty engagement.

Chairs Report 2025
The Centre Fs getting busier, and room hire has pid(ed up, I would like to thank Ihe Staff
for all their hard work, and Richard for is work in getting in grants to support the local
communty.
We have had a busy year. ￿ have started a veterans lunch every Thursday, hekl a
Chrisknas fayre, bingo sessions that families can attend. We have taken on Sue as an
assistant manager for 12 months.
The orchard volunteer has run a pruning session where people can come along take part
and leam new skills, encourage people to use the orchard and harvest fruit
The kitchen has been very busy with more people tying the meals on wheel Se￿1￿, the
lunch clubs continue to be very popular. The Youth club hired a bus for children and
Parents to go Dudley Zoo for the day, and we hope this may become an annual event "rf
we can get the funding. We also held chiklren's activities durirKJ the holidays. We had
some extra funding and took children to exotic Zoo.
We attended the Donnington & Muxton Parish Council Christmas L'uhts switch on, this
was very successful for fund raising, and advertising the events arKJ courses taken pla
at the hub.
The Centre Manager secured some fvnding to run a warm hub over the winter months;
this has proved very popular wth lots of people attending the centre.
He has also got some money for a communty fridge where people can get free food this
started in early 2024 and is ongoing.
The centre manager manged to get some MO￿ fvnding to employ an assistant ￿ntre
manager for 12 months she will start in September, and the contract ends September
2025
The ￿ntre has 4 charging points for electric cars, which we hope will help residents,
The￿ have now been registered and should be advertised on the national ev charging
point list.
This year has seen the centre upgraded with new disabled ramps, new securty cameras
new tables and chairs in the café area, new carpets and lino, and the ￿ntre painted
throughout.

Centre Manager Report- February 2026
Overvlew
The Centre continues to deliver a wide range ofartlvltSes. We wlll soon have a new customer service
course starting in April.
The energize community navigator n)le has now chan8ed slnce ourlast meetln& due to some
complications around the Parish Council, we where asked to employ one person nowat 28 hours but job
avallable for job share. This closed this weekbut number of appllcants where low and Some appllcations
did not match their application to the skills list We will be re-advertlslng and asklng for a slmpler
application process. a CV with supportin8 StatemenL
The Men's chatgroup is now on Wednesday mornings weekly with around S-8 people and costs around
£20 max per session for tea and snacks, biscults or tea cakes or even homemade cake. So probably
around one year of meetin8s will be funded.
The Bingo ni8ht and the Christmas Falr went well. although less chlldren visited Father Chrlstrnas, we are
lookin8 at a spring fair to see Sf we Cdn get the same number of stalls but maybe ty a Saturday afternoon.
We will be having a play group start in easter on Monday mornings movlng from Donnington Wood
Infants.
Safer Stronger communltles are looklng at dolng 2 weeks of artlvltles In Donnlngton and may be
supporting us some fundlng to help promote LBTS. the youth club. Men's chat group and the craft group
during that period.
A couple of the kltchen staff are keen to do more activities linked to Increasing Income. they put on a
curry and quiz nlght although poorly attended. costs where recovered, be nice to see trustees try and
attend these events to.
We have set up a keyholder whatsapp to help wlth comrnunlcation on booklngs belng taken. after the
staff appralsal process.
We also have funding to put on an artlvityeveryschool holldaywlth food from Houslng plus group,
February half term sees a trip to Thomas Land.
