Citizen Outreach Coalition (COC) is a local chaiity registered with the charity
commission. It was created to Pr￿te social inclusion for the public benefrt. by
working with in particukqr but not exclusively people of Africanlcaribbean des￿nt
resident in Merseyside who are socialty exduded or at risk of social exdusion on the
grounds of their ethnic origin and their social and economic positH)n, to relieve the
needs of such people and integrate them into society. in particular but not exclusively

We review our aims and objectives each year to make sure we are delivering them
as stated. Our review looks at what have done in the last financial year and how
far we succeeded in delivering some of all of our objectives. Evidently, we deliver
them on a year to year basis. We follow all Charity commt&8ion gtjidelines in
ensuring our aims arKI obieclives are delIV￿Ing a public benefiL
We delivered a Home offi￿ funded muttunedia awareness project about the
Windrush Documentation and Compensation schemes. Wrth a £16.240 grant. we
prodU￿d videos and ￿rrIed out awareness carnpa￿ns on social media and through
community events and public promotion encouraging people affected to apply to the
Home Office managed schemes.
We delivered three projects with supwt from The National Lottery Communty Fund,
one to create mentsl health awareness following COVID 19 and various lockdowns
occasioned by the pandemic. We also had funding to encourage people from ethnic
minority groups across Merseyside to be actively involved in climale change
preventive measures. We receNed £19.650 for both prw.
The John Moores Foundation funded our organisation to the ￿ne of £3000 to%Yards
project Manager salary and the Ganlekl Weston Foundation offered a grant of £7500
unrestricted funding. We also r￿1Ved £16.240 from the Home Offi1% for a wbndrush
Documentation and Compensab'on muttimedia awareness Project
Who ￿•d our Sorvlco•7
Our Mullimedia wirKlrush awareness project reached a wide range of people both in
Caribbean and other communities that ￿ere affected by the windrush crisis and the
general public some of who dKI not understand why the scheme for documentation
and compensation were nece8sary. Our project helped explain the reason for both
scheme8.
80 Young people attended the ten workshops ￿ organised as part of our young
people mental health awareness campaign as they recover from the effects of
COVID 19 and various lockdowns. During the workshops, we projected short
videos outlining the symptoms of mentsl health and coping mechanism rf and when
beneficiaries noticed they or dose friends or relatives could be suffering from mental
health related issues. The￿ We￿ also open debatss as the young people shared
their personal eXperIen￿S and they resow any i&8ues either wrth the support
of friends, famity or health personnel.
We produced four videos arKI organised c(xnmunty events attended by 60 people
on climate d)ange and how people from ethnic minority backgrounds could join the
fight to project the environment. There was emphasise on small behavioural changes
anyone could adopt to save our planet induding cyding, driving or fying only when
necessary, eth'ng healthily and preventing f￿)d waste

All our charitable activities continue to aim to help improve awareness around mental
health, climate change and support people who need help with applyin8 to the Wlndrush
documentation and Compensation schemes.

Into a Charltable Incorporated Organisation (CIO)
COC has a management committee of six members who meet to review the funrtlonlng of
the or8anlsation. The management committee determines the strategic directlon of the
company, prepares financial statements, malntainin8 proper accountlng records, selects
suitable financlal accountln8 pollcles and apply them. They make sure the finan¢lal pollcles
complles with charity commisslon rules.
The Mana8ement commlttee Is headed by Tanteh Vltslls and Emmanuel Klven Is the
Secretary General.
Members of the Management commlttee provlde thelr servlces free of charge. Thelr
reasonable expenses are relmbursed.

We want to thank the team of volunteers that helped us durin8 the whole year because
WFthout them, we would have done very little work. Special thanks to all the volunteers who
desplte the problems with COVID 19, still turned out and supported us in dellvering all our
three projects successfully.
We will forever be grateful to you and hope we contlnue workln8 wfth you lon8 Into the
future.
Overseas outreach
We have registered Crtizen Outreach in Kenya, Sierra leone and Cameroon but still have to
start work there. As soon as we start operating overseas, we will be addln8 that work to our
annual reports.

COC 15 Still a relatively young charity and gettin8 fundin8 for our activities remalns
challengin& We received £98CM) from National Lottery Awards for All for a COVID 19 mask
project and £3162 as final payment from The National Lottery Herita8e Fund for a
multimedia oral history project on the history and growth of Afrlcan Pentecostsl churches
across Merseyslde. We also recelved £IOOO In donatlons.
Our other funders were John Moores Foundatlon & the Garfield Weston Foundatlon and
the Home Office a5 mentioned above
We have a fit for Purpose reserve policy that has set aside at least £5000 to
protect our charity from sudden drops in income and also help us take
advantage of any new Opportunities that may arise. Ow trustees decided our
reserves can be spent on any of our aims. Our reserve policy will be reviewed
annually. Our reserves can cover continuity. resttucturing fimd. and dissolution
