Chalrperson's Report: September 2022-October2023
H8nnah gave an account of all the concerts and events over the iastyear.
This was ourfirst concert of the academic year. The Revellers pertomied with Revelation
Strings. we have been invited back to perform this November on Saturday 18th.
Revelation Strings performed a variety of pieces a￿1 everyone participated in singing or ptaying
movements from The Messiah. Once again V￿ have been invited backthis year, the date is yet
to be 8rr8nge(J.
Sarah Smith resigned a$ chairperson to go to itve in Fr8nce for a well earned retirement.
Hannah thanked herfor all her hard work and support since setting up TBR charity 6 yeaTS ago.
Thiswas held atst. Paul's Church in Canterbury. a iovelywelcomingvenue. Dominic Dunn
presented the Mc Carthyfamilywiththe Rosemary DunnAw8rd.
Matthew Sharp wa$ able to join us. There were also performance5 from Alan8 Grifftths Ennew.

Held in Chariton Church as DoverTown H811 is still being refurbished. The Singing FestiV81
proved very popularwith 400 pupils attending, so there ￿￿Te 2 sessions am and pm. The pupils
enjoyed pertorming songsfrom the stage and screen.
We were fortunate to have lovelyweather. although sknghtly breezyl Fran lead the orchestra and
performed 2 solos. singing and pLayin& £200 in donations were collected from the audience for
Staple church.
Hannah told us abotrt the upcoming events tor the next academic year.
2 primary schoots and some secondary schools be taking part.
The Revellers will be performingwith ReveLation Strings.
David gave an update on the project. It will betaking place atThe Dearne Playhouse.
Goldthorpe. an ex mining community. near Barnsley. There will be 3 performances on 8th. 9th
and 1 Oth December. Martin. Matthew and David h8ve been v￿rking wtth the local schools. The
production will include actors and dancers as well as a male voice choir. ladies choir and a
brass band. Barnsley Council is fundingthe project.
Funding from the Arts Council has been confirmed and the Kent Community have given £4.000
to sponsorthe venues for the project. David. Marbn and Matthew are working with about 12
Special Schools in Kent. Perfomiances willtake place in Marchatthe2venues8gain.
Canterbury, Friday 22nd and Gravesend, Wednesday 27th.
By using the Latest technology. Dawd explained howthe P.M.L.D. pupils will be able to take part
in the performances.
