## **Objectives and Activities** 

Summary of the purposes of Shoe Aid collects and redistributes unused, used, and unwanted the charity as set out in its footwear to people struggling financially with the cost of living. Our governing document aim is to reduce shoe poverty and reduce the impact on the environment from shoes sent as waste to landfill. We receive footwear from donations mainly in the UK from both the retail sector and the public. 

Summary of the main with the effects of Covid now easing and organisations activities in relation to those returning to some semblance of normality, Shoe Aid has continued to push on and increased its supply base purposes for the public (donees), as well as distributing more footwear nationally benefit, in particular, the due to this increase in donations. In particular, we’ve seen activities, projects or services a huge growth in the school Shoe market, with requests identified in the accounts. increasing twentyfold from schools and Academies up and down the country. The focus throughout this period has been the sourcing of school shoes and suitable trainers. Demand has increased and we have widened our net in terms of potential donations. At the beginning of 2023, we received in excess of 30,000 pairs of brand-new shoes, the charity has continued to work with public sector bodies as well as community groups, school academies to assist families who are struggling with the cost-of-living crisis. The support of asylum seekers and refugees has continued with donations in excess of 5000 pairs of men’s casual and training footwear, we see this trend continuing into the remainder of 2023, and into 2024. 

Statement confirming Shoe Aid now supports over 400 organisations with whether the trustees have donations of footwear for every day, use school, sports leisure and work purposes. We continue to involve the had regard to the guidance public in projects to collect unused footwear. The missionaries from the church of the latter-day<br>Saints have continued to support the charity throughout<br>the last year working alongside Shoe Aid regular<br>volunteers and have assisted in achieving a 98% service<br>level. Volunteers have been instrumental in the<br>reconfguration of the warehouse to ofer an even more<br>efcient order processing service.||

|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Shoe Aid has been working with a number of community<br>and social charities to provide donations of practical<br>footwear (school, shoes, trainers, work, boots, wellingtons).<br>These donations have an immediate impact on local<br>communities, meaning children can attend school parents<br>can go to work in general have footwear to take part in<br>leisure activities. All this has a big impact on mental<br>Health. Although SA is based in the Midlands, we have<br>been able to support communities both in England,<br>Scotland and Wales.<br>During the 2022/2023 period we have been supported (as<br>a chosen charity) by a number of community housing<br>associations nationally to both distribute and collect new<br>and used footwear.<br>These projects will continue to impact for the remainder of<br>2023, supporting residents with essential footwear, at the<br>same time reducing waste to landfll.<br>SA continues to support international projects (NGO) with<br>UK  based organisations who are supplying essential<br>medical equipment, and Aid. SA provides a full range of<br>footwear, school shoes, workboots, trainers, and casual<br>wear.||
