Organisational Structure

The CIO trustees are responsible for the general control and management of the charity. The trustees give their time freely and receive no remuneration or other financial benefits.

The trustees are actively involved in the projects of the organisation. Planning and decisions about projects are delegated to a planning committee.

The relief of sickness and the preservation and protection of good health for the public benefit in developing countries in particular but not limited to the training of medical practitioners working in the developing countries.

Achievement and performance

In the year under review CMIPD was able to collaborate and distribute cervical screening kits to various hospitals in Nigeria. This was made possible with the employment of local staff who are responsible for liaising with hospitals and government representatives.

Public benefit

CMlPD's activities have been of benefit to the public in furtherance of the objectives of the organisation. Medical staff and the leadership of medical institutions are being exposed to current developments in healthcare. This in turn translated to better experiences for patients who enjoy quality healthcare delivery. The involvement of CMIPD is at no cost to the host hospitals and there is no direct cost to patients from CMIPD. The services of CMIPD were rendered completely free.

Performance

During the year the organisation embarked on a Cervical smear screening project in Nigeria. In collaboration with Shalom Health International, CMIPD was able to air freight 20,000 cervical smear kits from the United Kingdom to Nigeria. The cervical kits were provided by NHS former regional centre for cervical smears. Individual members of the CMIPD, God’s Vineyard Ministries, and Shalom Health International contributed to the transportation of the materials.
