## **- ANNUAL CHARITY REPORT 2020 2021**
This report covers the period from 01/04/20 when the Charity Registered, to the 31/03/2021, end of the Charity’s first tax year.
The total income was £2648.10, £3000 of which came from a grant from Bideford Town Council. The total expenditure was £1470.00, leaving a balance of minus £1178.10.
Charitable Objectives: ‘To advance education for the public benefit in the art of music by the provision of grants and donations to schools, colleges and community groups and individuals to enable wider access to music tuition and to assist the purchase/loan of musical instruments and equipment.’
The charities expenditure was spent on the Bideford Music Day event – due to Covid restrictions we were unable to host a live event. We hosted an online event, which included a variety of online music workshops for people to participate in and interactive, which met our aims as a charity.
Next year we would like to raise more money to get musical instruments into school and colleges and support more individuals, and to promote the charities cause. The search for a fundraiser was halted due to Covid restrictions – once the restrictions ease we will begin planning more fundraising activities and appoint a person to take charge of fund raising.
