TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT AND ACCOUNTS For the Year Ended 3 1st August 2025 Structure, Governance and Management The Preschool is managed by a Trustee Committee and operates under the Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) structure. The Preschool registration number is EY2609381. The Trustee Committee comprises a Chair, Vice Chair, and five additional trustees. Some trustees are members of Willesborough Baptist Church, one is a former parent of a child who attended thè Preschool, and one is a current parent of a child attending the Preschool. The managementteam includes a Preschool Manager. Deputy Manager, and a Senior Early Years Educator, who also serves as the Special Educational Needs and/or Disability Coordinator (SENDCOJ. Preschool Manager.. Mrs Oluwatoyin Aina (appointed Septen]ber 2023) Preschool Deputy Manager.. lo Senior Senior Early Years Educator: Etnma Hilden (appointed july 2024) In addition, the Preschool employs five Key Practitioners. Two hold a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, one holds a Level 2 qualification and is working towards Level 3, and the remaining two are apprentices training towards a Level 3 qualification. The Preschool also employs one member of bank staff who supports the team during peak periods or staff absences. The Trustee Comtnittee and management team meet three to four times per year to review the operation of the Preschool. Management Responsibilities The management team is responsible for the administration of the Preschool, including payroll [supported by an accountant trustee), pension schemes, staff management. and ensuring children's progress, learning, and safety. These re5ponsibilitie5 are carried out in accordance with relevant legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation [GDPR), Ofsted requirements. and the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (2025), with amendments as necessary. The Preschool aims to support each child's development and learning journey, ensuring they are well prepared for the next stage of their education.

Preschool Daily Operations The Preschool operated from 8..30 AM to 4..30 PM on Monday. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and closed on Tuesdays. But this arrangement was reviewed and implemented for the 2025/2026 academic year, such tFJat the pre-school opens from Tuesday to Friday, with the Preschool remaining closed on Mondays while maintaining the same daily hours. Maximum Capacity and Flexibility The Preschool can accommodate up to 32 children per session; however, the target is to maintain a maximum of 29 children per session due to space constraints. Objectives and Activities l. To provide a safe, welcoming, and non-discriminatory environment for all children. 2. To support children's development and education through a balance of child-initiated play, adult-initiated play. and adult-led activities. 3. To promote kindness and understanding, encouraging children to respect others. 4. To nurture children's independence and self-confidence. particularly within the three prime areas of the Early yea￿ FDundation Stage. 5. To build strong partnerships with parents and carers in order to meet each child's individual needs. Achievement and Perforn)ance Enrollment and Attendance The number of children on roll has consistently remained close to full capacity. Although the academic year began with lower numbers, these gradually increased over time, reaching a total of 42 children by the end of the academic year. Attendance hours varied to provide flexibility for fatnilies. with some children increasing their hou￿ in subsequent terms. Support for Children with English as an Additional Language (EAL) The Preschool continues to provide additional support for children who speak English as an additional language. This includes the use of Makaton, dual-language books for families, and ongoing encouragement to share information between home and the setting.
