I'm very pleased to report that it ha5 been another successful year for Aycliffe Drive Preschool. The number of childien on roll from this time last year has increased. and we are offering more children 30-hour funded spaces than ever before. We have a good balance of fee-paying and fLmded children. and have found that some of those fee-paying parents are sending their children for more than the recommended minimum 2 sessions per week. We have new starters confirmed for the summer terni. and have already lined-up children for the Autumn terni in September, including 5 of our current children, 4 of whom are funded. I'd like to thank Mrs Hobbs and Mrs Wartnaby for the time they spend communicating with prospective parents. 50rting the waiting list, preparing registers, ensuring that we have all funding codes and making sure that we fit children tn where we can. I'd also like to congratulate Cheryl Hobbs on gaining her Level 3 NVQ. and for her promotion to position of Deputy Preschool Leader. The new management team are doing an amazing job, fully supw)rting each other and staff, plus planning, implementing and conslantly reviewing an enrichin& educational and fun curriculum. Any Early Years inspections we have had this year have all been positive, and it's always mentioned how well staff know the children. We are currently awaiting an Ofsted inspectioo which is due any time now. and I have every faith that we will be rated 'Good' or abov¢. I would like to thank all of our sff for their continued commitment to their rol¢s and the dedication shown to the children and their families. Early years education is an essential provision, bul sometimes feels significantly underpaid and underappr¢ciated for thc amount of work, training. and knowledge involved. I know that staff are keen to ensure that each child in our setting will leave us with the skills, Curiosity and enthusiasm to continue to learn in their education journey. I would like to finish rny report by thanking the trustees for their continued supporL and the staff for their continued hatd-work in making Aycliffe Drive Preschool a continued success.
