This was purely based on the polls conducted during the meeting and every member had equal chance of becoming a trustee. A charity trustee who has served for **three** consecutive terms may not be reappointed after an interval of at least **one year** . The trustee reappointment is carried out in the same way as the initial appointment. ## **Governing document** Our charity is registered with CIO (registration no. 1175110) and is governed by its governing document dated 20[th] of January 2018. 5 Docusign Envelope ID: 7F192246-7538-4577-8758-99CE5C1383D8 # **Debre Selam Medhanealem Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church Cardiff Charity no: 1175110** ## **Review of Activities** ## **Review of activities for the year ended 14[th] September 2023** The organisation has been holding weekly service every Sunday, where the gospel is preached to the members to ensure they have a great understanding of their faith. Several holy masses have been held for special occasions such as weddings, christenings and funerals exclusively for the members. To date, there have been 12 weddings and 37 christenings. A separate service have been allocated for our youth and children to learn about their culture, language and religion. The trustees have been assigned with the task of acquiring a church to purchase for the charity. This is because we are using a rented church, where we are experiencing time-constraints. As of 14[th] September 2023, the charity have raised £206,462 from members and donors. I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. **Independent** I have completed my examination.
