CHAIRPERSONS REPORT
OCTOBER 2022 to SEPTEMBER 2023
Askern Library continues to move along with the help of new memberships from
housing estates being built in the town. and more customers returnin

The fabric of the building itself especially the roof, seems to have been SUC￿ssfullY
repaired, although as it is flat roofed, it will still need some maintenance.
We were lucky to obtsin the services of a Treasurer in one of our new volunteers
who has already been working on our paperwork. This year has seen the death of
another trustee and the resignation of our previous chairperson, so we have elected
vo new trustees. The Library and Hub are still the place where customers can come
seeking help with life's problems. We have just taken possession of a new
printerlcopier which will enable us to print information or photocopy proof or form
filling, e.g. Holiday fflight tickets, boarding passes, goods return labels and wills and
death ￿rtrfl¢ate$.
