Following a zoom call/meeting between the trustees of the Trust, held on January 15[th] , it was agreed that a full meeting of all trust members was inadvisable due the Covid pandemic restrictions applying at the time.
It was further agreed that a copy of this report, briefly detailing salient points from the years activities would be circulated to all members as soon as the year end accounts became available for general scrutiny.
The highlight of the year was the performance staged by the Company at the Mitchell Memorial Theatre of Memories. Put on over three nights, the group played to full houses and generated a considerable amount of income for the Trust
Also as an income stream, the trust enjoyed continued success with its’ souvenir items of quality pens, flashlights, handbag diaries, and had begun to develop a positive relationship with local Tesco stores allowing the Group to send its’ dancing troop to perform routines in the store foyer for approximately an hour.
Unfortunately, because of the Covid pandemic, all activities have been curtailed in the interests of the health of Group members resulting in a slight fall in income and a net loss on operations over the twelve month period. However, since expenditure has been virtually non-existant since December 2019, it is anticipated that theis situation will be rectified in the coming year.
Finally, it was discussed and accepted that Trustee, Patricia St. George, would not be required to resign her position and offer herself for re-election a required by the Constitution of the Trust due to circumstances prevailing, but that this requirement would be postponed for twelve months.
