## **Donations & Welfare**

In this 12-month period our club began to return to our regular activities and events post the COVID-19 pandemic. Our club’s major fundraising income sources have come from various Christmas collections, the return of our Summer Gala, and Car Boots while retaining more recent sources such as Online donations via PayPal and Amazon Smile. We also received income from the closing of Garforth Historical Society that donated their remaining balance to us.

The CIO has supported local causes to the sum of £9,670, and donated £1,000 to Lions Clubs International Charities, while also collating and passing on other’s donations to support aid to Ukraine via the LCIF disasters fund.

## **Vision**

Lions continue to support “Vison” by collecting donated spectacles from “Bins” sited in the district.

## **Youth**

A number of our donations and projects this year were aimed at helping younger people including donations of equipment to local schools, groups and sports clubs.

## **Health**

Our biggest donation area this year was related to health, including donations to local Hospices, sponsoring others in activities, donating to events such as the Doncaster Disabled Sports Day.

## **Other Support in the Community**

We continued to distribute Message in a Bottle, and supported other local groups such as In Bloom, Hedgehog Society and Womble groups.

## **Membership**

Membership of the CIO at the end of June 2021 was 30 active members, with 1 at large. Members meet twice a month and take part in social and fundraising activities of the CIO.
