Chair’s Report- Monday 12[th] January 2025 Seabridge Primary School PTA

Welcome everyone and thank you for attending this AGM. First and most importantly I would like to thank everyone, you have in some form played a part in making the PTA a success during this past year. First, I would like to give a special thank you to Kirsty who is the backbone within the PTA and who without I would have had no idea.

Let’s take a look at our main events throughout the last year:

Seabridge Firework Spectacular

This was an amazing event popular as usual within the community a shame about the weather! And having to rearrange but besides that the event ran smoothly thanks to the help of everyone involved. Raising £4,256.58 which was more than the previous year, let’s hope this will be a good one this year.

Christmas, Easter and Summer Discos

The discos are popular with the children and helpers. All did better than the previous year apart from the summer one which was slightly down.

Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gifts

The children had a variety of options to create personalised gifts there were profits for the Father’s Day gifts compared to the previous year, however Mother’s Day gifts were down.

Sports Day Refreshments

The selling of refreshments at sports day seemed to go down well raising £193.79.

Break the Rules

A popular event for the children, although maybe not so for the school staff. Raising £309.54.

This list isn't all the events we have done in 2024-2025 you will see a breakdown of these in the Treasurers report.

The PTA has helped to fund various requests which have been made by school, such as the annual coach trips to the pantomime. Providing the reading folders. Funding towards Bonanza Day, leavers gifts and treats and many more items.

It is with a heavy heart that I have made the decision to resign from my Chair position within the PTA. Therefore, a replacement will be needed and we always welcome extra members or helpers as my daughter says teamwork makes the dreamwork!

I have loved my time within the PTA I’ve lost track of how many years that I have been involved first as a member, then secretary and finally chair. It has been an honour, and I have made some friends for live through it. I wish you all the best for a very successful year.

Kind Regards Sheryl PTA chair

Basis of Independent Examiner’s Report

The examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the PTA and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records for the year ended 3 September 2025. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair' view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
