Trustees Report 2022-2023
Seabridge Primary School Parent Teacher Association is a charity registered in England. It is run solely by volunteers to raise money to help provide school materials, resources and facilities to benefit those who use the school.
This year saw us return with some of our historical bigger events and projects, whilst also adding in some new ones. After such a big break we had a lot to remember as well as lots to learn, but we got there as a team and achieved some amazing results. The local community have really got back behind us in every way. In a year where the economy has hit our school families and wider communities hard, it has been so positive to observe so much continued support for our wonderful school.
Our events included the return of the hugely popular fireworks evening which took place in October, followed by a number of Christmas events, including a disco, Christmas fair and a fundraiser which enabled children to design their own cards.
The new year saw us continue our events with more discos, Mother’s and Father’s day gifts, our first scarecrow trail, ice lolly sales and our first summer fair since 2019.
This year we have mainly been raising funds to replace the KS1 timber trail, which was removed due to safety concerns, this is a major project but we hope this will be completed early in the new school year. We have also supported the school by purchasing reading folders, reading books, maths resources and Ramadan calendars, as well as our ongoing contributions to subscriptions, training and funding the coaches for a whole school trip to the pantomime at The Stafford Gatehouse.
We extend a huge thanks to all our members who have helped in any way no matter how big or small the contribution and we really couldn’t have done it without you all!

Basis of Independent Examiner’s Report
The examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the PTA and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records for the year ended 4 September 2023. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair' view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
Independent Examiner’s Statement
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention :
-
(1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:
-
to keep proper accounting records ;
-
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records have not been met; or
-
(2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
