Our Trustees have been the same in this period as at the time of our formation as a CIO. All of our Trustees have given their time voluntarily and received no remuneration or other benefits. The charity has not had any overhead (no costs for maintenance and management). We’ve been regrettably delayed in submitting this fiscal year’s accounting because of the death of one our Trustees with another one as the Executor (and elderly himself now) and with our third Trustee a distance away in the USA. During the prolonged illness and hospice of our Trustee who passed away, we decided to close our charity. We mentioned this possibility in our letter attached to the previous fiscal year’s accounting to the Charity Commission. We have not receive any income during this fiscal year as we decided to close down. We used our charity’s remaining money for the purchase of a large number of books published by and sold to us wholesale by an Orthodox monastery in England, which sent them to an Orthodox monastery in California where they are being sold retail for (solely) the latter’s benefit in its bookstore. So, in effect, we’ve assisted two Orthodox monasteries, one in the England, the other in California, by the single expenditure here in the UK. We hope that our work through the eight years of our activity has been worthwhile for those people and events to whom we contributed.
