Our Trustees were the same in this period as at the time of our formation as a CIO and subsequently. All trustees give their time voluntarily and receive no remuneration or other benefits. The charity does not have any overhead (no costs for maintenance and management). This fiscal year, in accordance with the aims in our governing document, we purchased books from the Orthodox Monastery of Saint John the Baptist in Essex, England, and had them sent as a donation to the Greek Orthodox Monastery of the Life-Giving Spring in California for the bookstore there. In this way, we contributed to both monasteries. We provided some financial support by a donation to the Jasenovac and Holocaust Memorial Foundation to assist them in their annual lecture series in London, to express and disseminate the Serbian Orthodox historical experience in this regard; and we gave money to the Draganac Monastery to assist them to maintain their Orthodox historic-cultural, architectural and spiritual heritage in Kosovo. Furthermore, we contributed to the support of a Palestinian young man who went to Stanford Hospital for specialized medical procedures but then found himself obliged to remain there for yet further surgeries because of the complexity of his condition but without financial resources. He was unknown to us until we heard about his plight after his second surgery. In response, with urgency, we arranged hotel accommodation for him, then a temporary apartment for him and his mother who went alongside to help him; and ultimately we arranged and contributed to a longer-term, modest apartment for a year, so to provide decent accommodation for him to live and to convalesce for a while and thus to avoid homelessness for as long as possible there. Also, we sent some money to vulnerable, impoverished Orthodox Christians in West Bank of Palestine. Because of older age now, the Trustees are finding it somewhat difficult to maintain a charity as a CIO. So, the Trustees will decide whether to continue or to dissolve the CIO during the next fiscal year, 2024-2025. On behalf of the Trustees, Dr S. A.
