We continue lo thank and praise (yod for his graciou5 provision to us providing the
financial I'esources necessary to support the work of the gospel al St Mark's.
OVEI RVIEI W: 2023
Oiir total incoine for the year was £94.919 against expenditure of£1 08,01 I, leading lo a
deficit for the year of £13,092 (compared lo a surplus of £804 in the prioi. year).
Income was lowei. than in 2022 primarily due to lower planned giving, cxteriial donations aiid
hall rents.
Expenditure was highcr than pi'ior year, pi'imarily because of curale hoiising costs in 2023.
INCOM
Tlie work of St Mark's is financed largely through voluntary giving froin within our
congi'egation, as well as lax recovei'able through the Gift Aid 5chcmc on giving. 1'ogeihei'
t])ese accounted foi. 68 % of our incoine in 2023 (£64,125).
Donations ￿late pi'imarily to external donations for our 'PdStoral Assistant, Account foi.
staffing of the cliurch's work with families and young people. legacies received and oihcr

Fees relate to cliurch hall rental fees and fees lor weddings & funerals. Hall hire fees totalled
