- Trustees Annual Report 2022 23
Welcome to the Ludchurch Village Committee Annual General Meeting and thank you for attending.
Thanks also to all the Trustees, Volunteers, Sponsors and Grant Bodies for all the support given to our Charity and Hall and enabling us all to provide and maintain this Community Hall to the high standard you witness today.
Volunteers have helped immensely with their support by mowing, litter picking, shrub clearing, hedge cutting, strimming, cleaning, hedge laying, etc.
A) Organisational
The Board of Trustees has been working hard since the last A.G.M.
We have had one new Trustees appointed at last year’s A.G.M, Phil Jones. We are delighted to have him on board but are also keen this year again to encourage new Trustees to support the present Board and hopefully bring more and varied ideas, views and perspectives to the Board. People over 18 of any age, views, etc. are all welcome to join.
Mark Lee, a Trustee and Treasurer for many years has given up his Trustee role. Mark has fingers in many other pies and felt he couldn’t do justice to the role any longer.
We are very grateful to Mark for all his hard work over the years, particularly with the Hall development and obtaining grant funds, we all thank him very much for his help and achievements.
We are very disappointed with the Charity Commission changing the sign on system for administration of the annual returns and other elements such as adding on new Trustees
etc. I had been trying to get a new code to sign in for months and have only recently been
able to log-on, I therefore do not accept any complaints about late submission of annual documents, They have been prepared for months!
B) Chapel Development
The battery storage is very successfully working and saving the electric costs, how much exactly is being saved is uncertain until we have more data. It appears to be quite beneficial but in another year we will have a more definite and accurate answer.
