TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT FOR ARK ASSIST REGISTERED CHARITY NUMBER 1174897 

YEAR OF THE REPORT 2021/22 

The trustees of Ark Assist wish to report that since our previous report for 2020/21 they have continued to look at future options for the operations of the charity. The operational environment remains challenging and disruptions caused by local geopolitics along side the need to be incredibly cautious to avoid threats to resources prevents the launch of real operations. This remains our main concern and we do not intend to do anything that would threaten our reputation or the safety of our beneficiaries 

Our challenge is to ensure that benefits are delivered whilst there is no risk to either those delivering relief or to the resources donated to Ark Assist. 

Robust protective systems are in place for when we can meet these challenges 

Having secured significant cash pledges we have also spent time with financial institutions to identify a robust banking route for our work and this is now in place with a bank account recently opened. Our plan to begin to call in pledges stalled due to COVID 19 but remain in place going forward 

We do not therefore have any actual income or expenditure to report and all costs incurred have been met by the trustees personally. The challenges remain but we continue to plan on the basis of launching activities but only when all risks are properly managed and a practical way forward is clear
