Achievements and Performance
| SORP reference | ||
|---|---|---|
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | Sicklekan Sickle Cell foundation has slowly recovered from the early end of 2020 as The Covid 19 pandemic affected the country and our ability to do outreach and support with the founder of the charity affected heavily from Covid 19. However during the following year Of 2020-2021 we have resumed some of our main objectives. During the 2021-2022 year due to the founders health issues and scares we have had to scale back efforts slightly to the following. Our activities have been split between a few virtual events via zoom, telephone and teams calls as well as online campaigning. As well as a few face to face counselling and outreach services Even though this year was an improvement on the previous year which was very challenging for us the charity has still upheld its ethos of promoting awareness of sickle cell and assisting the local and wider community of sickle cell patients the best way we can. |
No Physical Fundraising but the Owner was able to raise some money for the charity privately to help operations.
We continue to hear and help the patients in need while advocating for awareness, while also supporting patients who reach out to our organisation suffering from mistreatment at hospitals
