The financial statements comply with the Charitie5 Act 2011 and Accounti￿8 and Reporting by Ctwiiies.. Strtement of
Recommended Practice appli¢able to charitie5 preparing their accounts in ac￿rdanCe with the Financial Reporting
Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) issued October 2019 {effective l January 2019).
STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
NCI Community Association CIO (the charity) is an incorporated entity governed under a Constitution of a Charitsble
Incorporated Organisation.
The Trustee5 are re5ponsibl¢ for the overa]I management and control of NCI Commlmity Association CIO and hold regular
meetsng5.
All Trustees give their lime freely and no remunerdtion paid during the ye8r.
ORGANISATION AND APPOtNTMENT OF TRUSTEES
The charity is run by the Trusttts. The Trustees are made of full members of the O￿aniSation. elected annually at the
Annual General Meeting.
RISK MANAGEMENr
The Trustees are responsible for th¢ ov¢rs¢¢ing of the risks faced by the chartty. Risks are identified, assessed and controls
cstablished throughout the year. The Trustees b¢li¢vc that the adopted appmach of close monitoring of the operations.
St&￿Illg and finan¢¢s of the Charity will mitigate the significant risks.
Ln addition, the charity has fiwther policies place to cover all major business risks which are reviewed annually.
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES AND PUBLIC BENEFrr
The TTr￿ee5 are aware of the Charity Commission guidance on public benefit and their operation of the charity reflects

The Trustees believe the charity satisfies its publi¢ benefit obli8aiioll.
FINANCIAL REVIEW AND RESERVES
The financial Tesults for the year ended 315t March 2021 show an overdll surplu5 on unr¢5tricted r¢5erve5 of £8789
{2020.' unrestricted deficit of £20599).
ACHIEVEMEwfs AND PERFORMANCE
The year ending 3 1st March 2021 has been very difficulL as the Centre has been closed (due to Covid regulations) for a
large part of the year and 50 income from lettings. hire and games has been minitnal.
The Trustees have continued with the refurbishment of the premises including the wmplete renovation of all toilet
facilities. With the end of lockdown, the Truste¢5 and staff are working hard to publicise the availability of the Centr¢
io local group5 and io develop the community use of the NCI premises in 2021 and beyond.
There has been a ¢urnover in the membership of the Management Committee that runs the NCI CIO. with new active Trustees
joining who have brought new areas of expertise.

STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES RESPONSIBILITIES
The Trustee5 are required by Charity law to prepare financial 5taternents for each year which give a true and fair view
of the State of affairs of the charity and of (he surp1￿8 or d¢ficit of the charity for that y¢ar. In preparing those
financial statements. the TTUStees are required to'.-
(a) Select suitabl¢ accounting policies and then apply them consistently:
(b) Make judgements and estirnates that are reasonable and prudent.
{¢) Prepare the financial staiements on a going concern basis unless it ts inappropriate to presume that the Charity will
continue in operation,.

standards and Statement5 of Recommended Prdctice, subject to any material departure disclosed and explained in ihe
financial siaiements-

The Tn￿e¢S are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which di5c105e with reasonable accuracy at any titne
th¢ financial position of th¢ Charity and to ensure thai the financial slatements comply with the Chariiies A¢t.
I'he Tnjstees are also responsible for safeguarding the &4sets of the charity and hence for taking re&sonable steps for the
prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 3 I￿ March 2021.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND BASIS OF REPORT
As the charity truste¢s of the CIO you are responsible for the prepar*ion of the ￿OUnts in accordance with the
requirements of th¢ Charities Act 2011 Cthe AGV).
I report in respect of my examination of the CIO'S ¥counts carried out under section 145 of the Act. In carrying out
my examination I have followed all applicable directions giv¢n by th¢ Charsty Commission under section 145{5Kbl of
the2011 Act.

(a) BASIS OF PREPARATION OF FtNANCIAL STATEMENTS
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cosi convention with items reCogni￿d
at cost or transaction value unless otherwise stated in the relevant notes to these financial ststements.
The f￿alIcIal $￿ernents have been prepared in accordanc¢ with the Statement of R¢conllnended Practice".
A¢counting and Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Fanancial Reporting
Siandard applicable in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) issued October 2019 (effective
1st January 2019) the Financial Reporttng Standard applicable in th¢ Uniied Kingdotn &nd Republic of Ireland
{FRS 102) and the Charities Act 2011.
The Trustees consider there are no material uncertainties about the Charitys ability to eontinu¢ as a going
concem.
(b) INCOME
Income represents the amount derived from the charitys Ordinary activities. Ineome is recognised in the
period in which the charity is entitled to receipt and the amount can be measured with reasonable certainty.
No income is stated net of any &5sociatrd expenditure.
Ic) EXPENDITURE
All expenditure is accounied for on an accrual% basss.
Ch2ritable expenditure comprises those costs incurred by the charity in the delivery of its activities and
servi¢e5 to benefLciJries. Governance costs include costs associated with rneeting the constitutional and
statutory requirernents of the charity and are part of the charitys activiiies. Expenditurc 15 allocated
