## **Structure, Governance and Management**
DARUL ARQAM TRUST DERBY is based at 143 Clarence Road, Normanton, Derby. The registered and the principle address of the Charity is 143 Clarence Road, Normanton, Derby. DARUL ARQAM TRUST DERBY has achieved full registration on 25[th] September 2017 and its Registered Charity Number is 1174826.
## **Objectives and Activities**
To advance the religion of Islam whilst adhering strictly to the Ahlus-sunnah-wal-jama'ah (necessarily in alignment with the Hanafi fiqh only) according to ulama-e-deoband as described in their book 'Almohanned alal mufannad'.
To provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life.
To preserve and protect health and relieve poverty, distress, sickness and infirmity amongst persons, without distinction of sex or of political or religious opinions or of racial ethnic or national origins.
## **Achievement and Performance**
The Charity has successfully achieved its charity status and also its aims and objectives outlined in the charity constitution.
The Trustees consider the state of affairs to be satisfactory.
## **Reserve Policy**
The yearly donations and madrasa fees gives us approximately 6 months of reserve and we aim to have approximately 3 months of reserve at any one time.
At 31 March 2025 the Charity had general reserves of £61762.

## **Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of DARUL ARQAM TRUST DERBY**
I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2025 which are set out on pages 4 to 6.
## **Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner**
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charity Act 2011 (the Charity Act). It is my responsibility to:
- exmine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act;
- follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Charity Act), and
- to state whether particular matters have come to my attention
## **Basis of independent examiner’s statement**
My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given by the Charty Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the organisation and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a "true and fair view" and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
## **Independent examiner’s statement**
In the course of my examination, no material matters has come to my attention:
- 1 which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect, the requirements
- to keep accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act or
- to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirement of the Charities Act have not been met, or
- 2 to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reache
