The Camera Club was registered as a charitsble 1nc0rrrt￿ted organisation on 22 Sept8mber 2017, and 8tsrt8d
operating in this form on 1 October 2017 Previou$ty the activrties had been operated a8 an unincorporated
association. On 1 October 2017 a Compary owning the freehold premws wher8 the Camera Club operates, the
Camera Club Limibj, becam8 a 100% sUbS￿lary ofthe chanty. On 31 January 2018 the property and other assets
and liabilthes of the Camera Club Limited We￿ transferred to the chanty On 28 August 2018 the Camera Club
Limlted was dis80tr￿. This rfr0rganl8al￿n has simpltfied the govemanc8 of the charty.
The trustees are appointed by the rrembers of the chanty. No staff ore employed by the charity, and rt relies on the
a88i8tan(* of voluntoers for lis activiti88 to operate.

inexpensivety in London. It also hosts a gallery. although with Cov*J it was not possible to organise exhibitions of
photography over tr* year. NomMIty il is available for use by extefftal nthorks of photographers and local
community groups, and is used to host small groupsfor ￿￿lber$tO aboutvaried a8p8cts of ph¢)tography.

Some prc•3￿$s has been made in this year in bullding up Club acuvllles after two years substantial disruption
from Covid. This has induded organising a range of member activib"es, including some focussed at new members.
There have been a range of eXhibrt￿n$ in the Club's Gallery. and two eJJrtKins have been prc#Juced of the Club's
Joumal. The Club cdlaborated with local resdents during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. New collaboration$
have been established with students studying arthitectijre aTrJ using the Club's dathrooms. The Club's website
stsrted to be redeveloped trNRrds the end of the year. Hcrwever, use of the Club's key fxilities of studios and
darkr(￿S remains signFficanty bwer than pre Covid, wtentialty fellecting current PLCA)omic challenges as well as

The Trustees recogntse the contribution of many indmduals who have gNen their Itme voluntwily so that the Charity
can function. espeually those who have acted as stewards to enable the Club to be open. Particular thanks are due
to those who have served on the Commrttee during this year. Nick Andrews, Dan Bachmann, Phil Clarf(, Kate Cce,
lan Greaves, Rebecca Jeffree. Marco Maselti, John Neilson. DavMI Ovenden, Tim Pry￿H￿nS, Ph￿ Robertson,

Operatsng income and expendrture for the year was in deficit by £2,055. There was substantially less income from
studio$ and darkrcKJms than in a p￿C0vId year, A Govemrrenl grant towards Covhl diwuption of £2,667 was
received near the beginning of the year, but this compares vnth such grants of £12.860 in the previous year, and
£10,1XJO in 201￿20. Mtscellaneous inc4)Th also includes £2.910, as the work on improving fire doors was ¢ompleted
this year at this amount lower than had been to cover this Cost in the previous yea￿S accounts. After 8
substantial recovery in the value of the Club's investrnents in the pwious year, with the economic challenges and
13)vemment changes in polw in the current year invesim8nts red￿￿j in value by £9.319 in this year.
In May 2018 the Tnv8tees agreed an investff*nt wlicy frx the charity. recognising that each year the charity aims lo
break even. recognising that maintenance expendrture will vary from year to year. and that a surplus 1$ aimed for in
years with low maintenance exp8ndilure. The tM)licy is that sufficienl cash and I￿Uld funds should be in place to
meet lik6ty working capitsl needs and short-terni foreseèabb& mointenance expenditure, with the remaining reseNe$
