## **Trustee’s Report for the 2024 Season – South Kilvington Cricket Club** 

1. During the 2024 season the sense was that all again enjoyed the games (winning being enjoyed more than losing). 

2. Out of the 20 games played, we won 11 and lost 9, finishing fifth in Division Four of the Nidderdale and District Cricket League. 

3. As is the usual case for organized timed sports, on occasions we found it difficult to find eleven players to make up a team, but no games were conceded.  There were fewer occasions this season than last when a full team wasn’t fielded. 

4. Continuing with our inclusive policy, we had two ladies playing this year, and our Club has a wide range of abilities, ages and diversities, but all are most welcome. 

5. Our income was largely made from member contributions and community donations/sponsorships. 

6. Our expenditure is completely for the benefit of our Club.  The largest expenditure being insurance, with the next largest being the upkeep of the ground, maintenance of machinery and cricket balls. 

7. We had an unfortunate attack by vandals towards the end of the Season, and the Club, community and Local Government have all assisted with raising funds to hopefully help prevent a recurrence. 

8. We hope that the 2025 Season will be as enjoyable as last Season, with more people from the community enjoying playing cricket and supporting our Club.
