Consciousness as revealed in the teachings
of Bhagavad Gita As It Is and as taught by
the Founder His Divine Grace AC
Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and in
accordance with the tenets of the
International Society for Krishna
Consciousness, in particular but not
exclusively by providing educational
programmes.

activities in relation to those
purposes for the public
benefit, in particular, the

Our main activities over the period included
public (via Zoom) discourses on the
teachings and practice of Krishna
Consciousness.
Statement confirming
whether the trustees have
had regard to the guidance
issued by the Charity
Commission on public
benefit
Para 1.18 KWUK is committed to enabling as many
people as possible to learn about and
cultivate the practice of Krishna
Consciousness regardless of religious or
cultural background.
In planning our activities for the year, the
KWUK Trustees have considered the Charity
Commission’s guidance on public benefit,
and especially the guidance for charities set
up for the advancement of religion. We try to
afford ordinary people from any background
the opportunity to develop their practice of
Krishna Consciousness through:
-
cultivating the knowledge and
philosophy of Krishna
Consciousness;
-
community gatherings for worship
and prayer;
-
missionary and outreach work.

Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 In line with our objectives, the focus this year
has been on building and strengthening a
core team of dedicated supporters for the
activities of the charity. We have a small but
dedicated team of supporters who reliably
administer and manage the events run by
the charity, in particular public discourses
and communal worship, using Zoom
Conferencing.
The beneficiaries during this accounting
period included the general public in
England. Attendees at events were given
opportunities to learn about, sample and
cultivate the practices of Krishna
Consciousness, at whatever level suited
their needs or preferences, as well as enjoy
the healthy support of a small but growing
community of like-minded explorers of
spiritual practice.

Additional information (optional) You may choose to include further statements where relevant about:

objectives set
Para 1.41 The trustees consider their key objectives

forward to further strengthening the core
team and expanding the volunteering
support in the coming year.

maintaining our website. Our Zoom events

no financial support.

this accounting period.

Financial Review

Review of the charity’s
financial position at the end
of the period
Para 1.21 The activities of the charity over the
accounting period focused on cultivating a
core team of dedicated supporters, and did
not have sufficient opportunity to focus on
fund-raising for future activities.
Nevertheless, small donations were received
from volunteers during the reporting period.
Activities over the year were funded directly
by volunteers and supporters, and the
website maintenance was funded through
the charity bank account.
The expenses from the charity account
exceeded the donations received by £45.
However there were sufficient funds already
in the account to cover these expenses. We
expect all expenses to be comfortably
covered in the coming year.
Statement explaining the
policy for holding reserves
stating why they are held
Para 1.22 Other than the charity account bank balance,
no reserves are held as no non-
administrative expenses are anticipated over
the coming reporting period.
Amount of reserves held Para 1.22 Other than the charity account bank balance
of £56, there are no reserves held at the end
of the reporting period.
Reasons for holding zero
reserves
Para 1.22 No significant or unexpected expenses
projected for the coming reporting period.
Details of fund materially in
deficit
Para 1.24 N/A
Explanation of any
uncertainties about the
charity continuing as a going
