Chairman’s Report 2020-2021
The pandemic has severely reduced the use of the Parish Hall due to the advice for social distancing which has restricted the number of people in the Hall to a maximum of twenty. Twenty is less than half of the normal capacity, consequently we have been unable to have any meaningful events in the Hall for nearly two years. This is an unfortunate situation as the refurbishment of the Hall is now complete and we havea Hall to be proud of that is ready to be used for the benefit of the community.
During the refurbishment of Blindcrake Village Hall we are pleased to have been able to provide suitable facilities for the First Responders group to hold their refresher meetings. Other small groups, DCC, Parish Hall committee, Education Trust have also used the Hall for meetings. The Hall is now ready for use and any persons who would like to use it, whether it be ona regular basis or a one off for meetings and common interest groups such as yoga, artists, gardeners, cooks, knitters, etc, and now that life is returning to a more normal state the booking secretary would be pleased to discuss suitable dates and times with interested parties.
We look forward to the challenge of 2022 to be able to bring our community back together with a range of enjoyable sociable events.
