BROOKLYN CONTINUES TO OFFER FOOTBALL RELATED ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN (6 AND ABOVE) IN THE RYEDALE AREA OF NORTH YORKSHIRE. 

BROOKLYN HAS MAINTAINED PARTICIPATION IN ITS ACTIVITIES DURING THE YEAR, IN PARTICULAR SEEING FURTHER SUCCESS WITH RESPECT TO ITS OBJECTIVE TO RAISE FEMALE PARTICIPATION IN FOOTBALL.

THE TRUSTEES HAVE CONTINUED TO STRIVE TO MAINTAIN MEMBERSHIP FEES AS LOW AS POSSIBLE IN ORDER TO MAKE THE CLUB’S ACTIVITIES AFFORDABLE FOR AS WIDE A CROSSSECTION OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AS POSSIBLE. 

THE TRUSTEES HAVE HAD DUE REGARD TO CHARITY COMMISSION GUIDANCE ON PUBLIC BENEFIT DURING THE YEAR

FOR THE 21-22 SEASON WE TOOK THE DECISION NOT TO INCREASE MEMBERSHIP FEES, TO REFLECT ONGOING PANDEMIC DISRUPTION OVER RECENT SEASONS. AS NOTED IN LAST YEAR’S REPORT, THIS LED TO A WELL ANTICIPATED SHORTFALL IN INCOME VS EXPENSES FOR THE 2021-22 FINANCIAL YEAR.  WE WERE ABLE TO MANAGE THIS WITHIN OUR BUDGETING PROCESS.
