There Is a defiatfor the year of £2,729.74 compared to a defidt of £3,227.01 in the previous year.
The deficits were primarily down to p￿rd￿sIrv4 land forthe memorlal woodland In 2021 £5.000, and
the urgent need to purthase a mort reliable tharity vehide in 2022 £10,CM)O.
Overall, ourfinances are very healthy. and the future of the d)arity looks very Secure. Thank you to
all the Trustees who work tirelessly to support veterans tn need, as well as maintainlng a beautlful
tranquil memorial woodland, whllst also 5UStainl￿ wildlffe conservation. Thank you as well to our

Our payments were just £288 over P￿d£et. Although the budgetwas extremely accurate It was
achieved through a rnixture of below and above projectlons whlth averaged out over the course of
the year. Below are some Important calls outs. M￿e detslled kyeakdowns are avallable In the

Although the Surplus is mlnlmal Ifs extremely encouraging bearing in mlnd the dificult times all
charities have gone through in recent years not QRMW. Forecasting a budget is always
challenging 501've called out some of my thoughts below whith helped me make some 'educated
predirtions / assumptlons:
I haveforecastd donation5 to be £4,0(Ki lessthan last year due to the
unortainty with the cost of liling crisis. hope is that in realty these will be much higher
than predicted knt I do believe alri￿ on the side of rautlon during these Un￿rtain times Is
the right wayforward
For Generated Payments I deliberatdyonly induded sale of QRMW
merchandlse which I calculated based on last years nurnber5. My hope is that this will be
higher with the purthase of r*w stocK arKI suppcth purthasiF¥ memorial trees / plaques

I've budgetted £5LKI to purdwe new QRMW merdwidise a5 exlstlng stock
levels are low
Due to fvndraising bel￿ on hold we hadto incur addibonal fundraising
costs whith I believe wlll be less this year. F(y example, the costs incurred for a Trustee to
become a licencee so we can sell alcqAKA at QRMW events
pporting veterans in need is core to our value5 501 have again 1￿d8etted
heavily for this £2.IMJ. l appreciate we often support veterans in other ways rather than just
financially, but I do feel ivs important to have a robust budgetfor this
Fixtures & Fittlngs £L600 was primarity down to the purthase and
Installation of the perimlter fence, hence redUd￿ this to £500 for this year

**Respective responsibilities** The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. **of trustees and examiner** The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed.

## It is my responsibility to:

- examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act,

- to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions

- given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act, and

- to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

**Basis of independent** My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions **examiner’s statement** given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

**Independent examiner's** In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention **statement** (other than that disclosed below *)

1. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in, any material respect, the requirements:

- to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; and

- to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities Act have not been met; or

2. to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
