TRUSTEES REPORT 2023

Dear Members

Since taking on the role of Chair, the organisation has increased the number of Trustees to five, three of which are linked to the officers’ roles: Chair, Secretary and Treasurer and two are independent.

We have continued to deliver support to the LRFs, charities such as Keech Hospice, and commercial events such as Runaway and Todd in the Hole music festival to name a few. All these generating an income for the group, and you will see that we have received donations from many organisations and group members as outlined in my Treasures report.

In the last few months, the Trustees have been busy looking at the future of the group and the direction for the next five years. We have some very ambitious targets to achieve but with your help the Trustees are sure we can reach our objectives.

We have presented this information to the members already and asked you to vote on the revised Local Rules and Guidelines, which you did, and this has now been approved. If you have not seen this documentation, then please review by visiting the groups google drive.

A large investment has been made in line with the new strategic direction, in particular the uniform roll out, and other assets to make the group self-reliant.

We are rolling out DBS checks for all active members over the coming quarter.

I have been covering two roles since September, Chair and Treasurer, at the AGM I will be standing down as Treasurer after 5 years. I do intend to re-stand as Chair so I can help implement the new strategic direction.

The Trustees thank all the members for their continued support during 22/23 and we look forward to working with you in the years to come.

For and on behalf of the Trustees.

Regards

Graham
