Our Purpose

The Ring Amateur Boxing Club (ABC), based in Bracknell, Berkshire aims to serve the local community by helping people from all walks of life, age and ability to reap benefits of physical and mental wellbeing through the provision of facilities and training for boxing.

Established in 2013 by ex-amateur boxer, Darren Taylor, the boxing club remains the only club of its type in Bracknell, and is affiliated with England Boxing.

Boxing builds confidence and enhances social skills with the camaraderie that comes from team work, making new friends with likeminded people who love the sport, and learning new skills. We see self-discipline grow as members learn & adhere to club rules, boxing technique and etiquette - all underpinned by building a community spirit, keeping the kids off the streets and providing a safe environment for everyone who wants to learn to box. Everyone is welcome.

Our objective

Under 18s boxing training and competitive boxing will always be at the heart of the club and our objective is to continue to build on our community of 600+ registered members, and offer a safe and controlled environment to learn/grow in the healthy recreation and advancement of the amateur sport of boxing in Bracknell and the surrounding areas, with a team of experienced coaches and volunteers who mentor and train those who attend.

The benefits of boxing have long been advocated and The Ring ABC offers a safe environment to learn & train.

All club activities are run by volunteers.

Year Review

The gym reopened in April 2021 after a year of lockdowns which had given the volunteering team time to refurbish the gym.

The club continues to look for funding opportunities and sponsors to bring income into the club.
