Children
to contribute
towards the delivery costs forthe Caudwell
Children
Autism Centre
(CCAS).The CCAS service provides
much needed assessments,
diagnosis
and follow up interventions
for children
with Autism,
dramatically
reduced waiting times compared to other services and
providing
wrap-around
intervention
atthe purpose
built Caudwell
International
Children's
Centre.
Discussions
with Teens Unite focus upon a Respite Centre for Teenagers
with Cancer. The planning
applications
forthe Respite Centre have been
rejected by the Council and SLCT continue to support the planned
appeal. This project will welcome all young people suffering
with cancer
regardless ofpersonal
background,
gender,
faith or personal
background.
A grant was awarded to the Princess Alexandra
Hospital Trust. The grant
contributed
to the cost ofresearch nurses to perform
vital clinical triials
within the Breast Cancer unit and provided
patients
with access to
