**Heritage Sculpture**Monitoring and occasional
cleaning of the 2.5m heritage sculpture unveiled on
Tuesday 12 July 2022. The 3 sided sculpture
celebrates Charles Rolls and the first lnternational
Aviation Meeting of 1910 and links events with
aviation today using the theme of Rolls-Royce.
**Archive**of information held on loan by the Heritage
Zone at Boumemouth Central Library.
**Events**In August we were hosted by RREC (Northern
Section) to display our exhibition boards at the
‘Passion for Power’ event held at Tatton Park near
Manchester. Our annual commemoration was held at
the memorial plaque to Charles Rolls in the private
grounds of St Peter’s School.
**Publications**Three newsletters were issued. The
CRHT book ‘Bournemouth The Aviation Pioneers and
Rolls of Rolls-Royce’ sells in small quantities via
Amazon and at talks.
**Photo Album**The Trust became aware of an auction
for a private photo album which purported to show the
last flight of Rolls and other photos of the 1910
aviation meeting. Whilst bidding went to the expected
price, (double what Trustees had agreed) the album
was later offered to the Trust and purchased. Whilst
the Trust does not specifically purchase memorabilia,
the significance of these photos were important and
have been featured in the Trust’s newsletter.| |Statement
