|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|Talks by a Trustee in person or via Zoom to<br>various community organisations such as<br>history groups included 12 on Rolls and 12<br>on other talks to generate funds.<br>Comments are made confirming interest<br>and surprise at our local aviation heritage.<br>Donations of artefacts or knowledge have<br>also been received.<br>The four planned newsletters were reduced<br>to two because of the time spent on work<br>for the heritage project.<br>The efforts to create a suitable heritage<br>feature in public view included a pre<br>application enquiry to planning which<br>guided the Trust to a different area to<br>locate the project and a meeting in May<br>2021 with BCP Council Parks determined a<br>site deemed suitable which would give the<br>public excellent access and was adjacent<br>to a bus stop, car park and cafe at<br>Hengistbury Head on the eastern boundary<br>of the 1910 airfield. A Planning application<br>was made on 12th July 2021 and granted<br>on 9th December. An engineering design<br>was developed from the architect’s concept<br>followed by selection of a fabrication<br>company which also prepared the<br>manufacturing drawings, a building<br>company to prepare the base and a<br>structural engineer to provide oversight.<br>There was a great deal of Trustee time<br>spent in all these activities but on 09 March<br>2022 a site visit confirmed the viability for<br>the project to proceed.<br>The unique archive is maintained on loan<br>by the BCP Council at the Heritage Zone|

in the main library. Some artefacts are held by Trustees and displayed when public events make this appropriate.
