**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN THE UK AND INTERNATIONALLY:THE PROMOTION AND PROTECTION OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND PUBLIC SAFETY, BY PROMOTING AND ENCOURAGING WALKING AS A MEANS OF TRANSPORT, MOBILITY AND RECREATION, PROMOTING THE SAFETY OF THE WALKING PUBLIC, AND PROMOTING IMPROVEMENTS TO THE COMFORT AND GENERAL AMENITIES OF THE WALKING PUBLIC AND THE ENVIRONMENT EXPERIENCED BY THE WALKING PUBLIC.

**Activities:** Walk21 works with local communities to assess their environment and identify opportunities for improving walkability with the app.  We run an international conference to disseminate best practice and share knowledge and network.  We advocate for walking at a range of international forums and run workshops with local governments to develop the capacity to deliver better walkability.
