Trustees agreed to change charitable objectives to the following on the 18[th] May 2020 and amended the constitution. 

A) To advance the education; a) To advance the education of the public in the subjects of English Language and Life in the UK. b) To advance the education of the pupils attending regional schools by providing and assisting in the provision of supplementary education, place and materials. c) To assist in such ways as the charity trustees think fit any charity in England whose aims include advancing education of persons under the age of 25 years by developing their mental, physical and moral capabilities through leisure time activities. 

- B) To advance community development; a) To further or benefit the residents of England, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents. 

Prior to 18[th] May 2020 the objectives of the charity were the following: 

To advance the education of the public in particular but not exclusively by: 

- (1) The provision of classes in Turkish language, tradition and culture and supplementary classes in Maths, Science and English language for school age children; and 

- (2) The provision of English language classes for adults.

||**The charity carries out a wide range of activities in pursuance of its**<br>**charitable aims. The trustees consider that these activities, summarised**<br>**below, provide benefit both to those who uses our community centre and**<br>**the wider community of Ilford and neighbouring cities.**<br>**CULTURAL ACTIVITIES:**<br>The community centre provides a range of cultural services and activities<br>including:<br>**Festivals:**we prepare food throughout the year to celebrate community festivals<br>at our centre with a family day and communal meal.<br>**Cooking and selling ethnic foods to raise funds:**each week on Fridays the<br>charity invites a voluntary chef to cook Turkish foods to raise funds for the<br>Charity.<br>**COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES**<br>Our community centre hall and rooms provide a valuable educational and<br>recreational resource to all in our local community. A wide range of activities are<br>organised and take place from our community centre.<br>**Turkish language courses:**Turkish Consulate General in London appointed a<br>Turkish language teacher to teach Turkish language and culture to pupils at our<br>community centre.<br>**English language courses:**We have volunteers who speak both English and<br>Turkish languages fluently to teach English language and culture to adults at our<br>community centre. Approximately 10 adults regularly attended to English<br>classes.<br>**Supplementary school and homework support:**at weekends and during<br>school holidays a supervised homework club is supported and supervised by<br>volunteers and over 20 children regularly attend the club.|

## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

Volunteers are an important resource in community work. This year our Charity has achieved to reach over 1,000 Turkish speaking people in London and surrounding cities. This helped us increase our number of volunteers who then helped us organise and conduct more charitable and fund-raising activities than last year. Volunteers are involved in most of our community activities and we have now over 30 people regularly giving their time.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/03/2022. 

**Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

## **Independent examiner's statement** 

I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: 

- accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or
