**Trustees’ Annual Report for the period**

**From August 2022 to July 2023**

**Charity name: Tingley Athletic FC Limited Charity registration number: 1174539**

## **Objectives and Activities**

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation, in particular the provision of facilities for the playing of association football in the Tingley area.

The club has run football teams for both Girls and Boys football teams from under 7s through to u18s. We provide competitions for all age groups and offer further opportunities for individuals to develop knowledge and experience in the field of team managing and coaching.

We have continued to provide football activities for those children under the age of 7 or new to football through our Saturday Soccer Academy and the girls Wildcats programs.

In addition to these junior teams, we have maintained two open age male teams for this season. In all, the club affiliated 30 teams to West Ridings County FA. We encourage the football for all approach of fair play and sportsmanship and we praise effort and performance more than results.

The Trustees keep in mind the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit at all Trustee and manger / coaches’ meetings.

The club could not function without the hard work and commitment of our volunteers. Trustees, Managers, Coaching and Grounds Staff all give up their free time to help make our club run.

## **Achievements and Performance**

During the 2022/2023 season we had over 350 players across 30 teams. We have seen a high increase in children & young adults wanting to join the club this season and this continues to grow year on year. Through the club’s activities we have provided a healthy recreation for all our players.

The club has continued to invest in our facilities this year we applied and successfully secured a grant from the Football Foundation to improve our clubhouse facilities at the Crescent & Cave Lane.

Fundraising has been high on this season’s agenda; we now have a team of volunteers who co-ordinate activities and events within the club to generate funds.

We have also lent our services on two occasions this year to the charity ‘MIND’ by letting them use our facilities free of charge to host a charity football match. This was a great success on both occasions generating much needed funds for their charity.

The Club would once again thank all our players, parents, coaches & volunteers for their hard work and support this year as without them we couldn’t achieve the things we do.
