The Church hosts a HUB (Helping-
Uniting-Building) session four times a
week- this is a communty outreach
where free cooked breakfast along with
tealcoffee is available. The Hub is a
friendly environment and is openly
available to the public, especially those
that are vulnerable, homeless and
isolated.
For those suffering hardship we
distribute food hampers etc
NLCC is a registered Warm Welcome
Space, enabling people to come in to the
church and to have a free breakfast, free
Wi-Fi and stay warm in a safe and
friendly environment.
NLCC is part of the Period Dignity
project where Free Sanitary Products are
available for the community.
In March 2023, NLCC hosted for 3
months a Zero Waste Sho
which was

run by the Tonyrefail and District
Chamber of Trade and was available for
the community.
In April 2023, NLCC were delighted to be
a part of the Tonyrefail Music Festival,
the fooffall through the Church on this
day was fantastic.
In May 2023, Rhondda Cynon Taff
started a weekly Work Club session
hosted at NLCC providing free support
for anyone looking for work- this has
been, and continues to be, a great
success.
In June 2023, Citizens Advice started
holding monthly drop in sessions at
NLCC.
In July 2023, a Budgeting and Planning
Finances Course was held at NLCC,
where members of the community
attended.
In De￿rnber 2023 we held a Community
Candle Lit Christmas Carol Servi

our special guests. The church was full
on this evening and everyone had a
great time.
In De￿mber 2023, NLCC were part of
Operation Christmas Child, a fantastic
organisation which enables children to
each have a gift for Christmas.
In 2023 we financially supported
Community Action for Mercy (CAM)
Rwanda, and we also sponsor a child
from CAM Rwanda.
The objective is to impact every life,
every street, to see Community
Transformation for the better, seeing
Tonyrefail taking its strategic place in the
Valleys.

Para 1.20
The funding that we have received this year
for the Breakfast Hub has allowed us to
provide free breakfast to our community.
We open the Church to the most vulnerable.
These include ex-offenders, those struggling
with addiction, unemployed, lonely and
isolated. Some of them say that rf it wasn't
for the cooked breakfast, they would not
have a hot meal or sometimes any meal that
day. Most people visit our hub, not only for a
hot meal, but to socialise and connect with
others.
Demand over the year has grown, especially
with the cost of living crisis, seeing at least
3040 people every day.
We buy our produce locally and are,
therefore making a difference to local
business owners.
Out of the grant funding we were able to
purchase laptops to be able to provide
support with employment and training. We
work with partner agencies who provide
Work Club, Citizens Advice, skills
development and training sources. We also
partner with agencies who offer support for
those struggling with addiction - Barod and
Challenge Valleys.
We run throughout the year, supporting
many people throughout the winter season
with a hot meal, hot refreshments and winter
items to support. We offer a warm,
welcome environment and a safe space.

A case study undertook by Rhondda Cynon
Taff Council worked out an approximate
social value that has been created by the
Breakfast Hub being open of £545,000.00.
Amongst its many other community-based
activities, NLCC successfully runs a Food
Pantry which is again accessible to all
members of the community. All the food in
our pantry is donated locally by church
members and local community. We offer not
only food but toiletries and sanitary products
as well.
The financial support given to CAM Rwanda
has made a real difference to the lives of the
Teen Mothers and their children as they
daily attend the Early Development Centre
where they are taught and fed. Lives are
being changed across the world due to this
financial support.
NLCC also sponsor a child from CAM
Rwanda, we believe we are transforming the
life of this young girl and her family with the
financial support she re￿IveS.
The church is growing in its impact on our
community, this is evident in the amount of
people who come in. The Pastor, Leadership
Team and Trustees are very happy with the
service given to the public within our
community and look forward to many more
years of being able to carry out such
accom
lishments.

Respertive responsibilities of trustees
and examiner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the piepaiation of the accounts. The charity's
tiustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the
charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my iesponsibility to:
examine the accounts under section 145 of the chaiities Act,
to follow the procedures laid down in the general Difections given by the charity
Commission (undei section 145(5)(b) of the chaiities Act), and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner's
statement
My examination was cairied out in accoidance with general Diiections given by the
charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records
kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts piesented with those iecoids.
It also includes consideiation of any unusual iteffls or dlsclosures in the accounts, and
seeking explanations from the tiustees concerning any such matters. The procedures
undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be iequired in an audit, and
consequently no opinion is given as to whethei the accounts present a 'tiue and fail,
view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
Independent examinerfs statement
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention (other than
that disclosed below"):
(1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in, any mateiial respect, the
requirements:
to keep accounting iecords in accordance with section 130 of the
charities Act;
to p(epare accounts which accord with the accounting recoids and comply
with the accounting iequirements of the Charities Act have not been met; or
(2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper
understanding of the accounts to be leached.
