day opcrdtion of any of its schools. .Mr YUDUS Bobat is the chair of Gath)n Sch(K)l. Al-Risalah Boys,
School and Al-Risalab Girls School. Mr Maksud Gangat is the Cbair of OArbard Primat). School.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
The end of year results was very g(Mxl for pupils sitting for national tests. Results at our
schools exceeded tb¢ national average.
The quality of Al_Risalab and EM)th secondary schools for boys and girls continues to
remain good with many outstondino elements. The school curriculum is creativ¢, broad and
balanc¢d. Pupils are offered enTichment OPWTiunities and ¢areeTS guidance. All stakeholder5
are pleased with the Nursery and Sec4)ndary" School. Staff are suprx)rted with professional
development opportunities. The latest Ofsted report (Feb 25) for girls. schiK)Is and nursery
stated..
"Pupils f¢el a real sense of belonging in this Sch￿1. They appreciate the shared values and
ethos among the small sclKM)l eommuoity. Pupils get to know each other well. They forge
trusting relationship wtth staff. The sch(K)I takes caTe of its pupils and provides a nurturing
environm¢nt. Pupils are w)lit¢ and respectFul, both to their classmates and to sfaff. Teachers
are quick to help pupils resolve any oc¢asioual friendship issues. Pupils conduct then￿elveS

the school. Bullying is very rare. Pupils know how to rnise concerns should they h2ppen. This

places great empI￿lS in ensuTing that each ¢hild gains a sound knowledge of different srrands
of the faith, which is evident in the teamwork shomn by the Headteacher, the Director of
Education at the Al Risalah Tru>t and the Islamic Studies team"
Our Voluntary Aided S¢hools {Gatton and Or¢bard) are overly subscribed and popular within
th¢ community. Results of botb schools were outstanding. LA consultant reports coDfinn both
schools are perforniing exceptionally well with Tesults of Ix)th schools well above the nationaI
average in most categories.
In November 2025, our matrria] clwige request to the DIE for the removal of the nursery from
the DIE registrdtion ivas sUCc￿fUl. W¢ are now registered with OFSTED and can accept _
year olds under the OFSTED registration.
The Tn￿ continues lo priyvide valwble service to ail Trust schools including FM)th Gatton VA
Pritnary School and OTchard VA primary school. This is done through school governance.
Islami¢ studies pn)vision, Imam Support aThJ consultancy services. These St￿1¢¢S popular
and add great value to Trust sch(K)Is.

Trust website, followed by circulation of their CV to all TruSt￿S and a full discussion being held at an
appropriate Board meeting for his Aier r¢cruittnenL kn making the apEK)inlmellL the Board looks at the
skills, qualification4 r¢levant experieD¢¢. tillte con]mitmenL Suitable Teferences and most importantly
sharing the vision of the Tntst. The Tr￿st is committed to equality and diversity within the
organisation. The eurrent Board consists of ￿ople from commullity. educatioffj tnosque, theological.
ftnaneial. marketing, building4 buman K%ources and charitable backgrounds, all of whom bring the
necessary exwhse to the work of the charity.

The Tr￿Stee$ have examined thoroughly busioess and operatioDal risks which the charity f￿eS and
confu￿S that syst¢ms have been esfabltshed to enable regular rewtrrts to be produced so that necessary
sfrps can be taken to avoid th¢se Tisks.
To protect agaiDSt any financial mis&ppmpriation, and accounting staff regularly monitor and
supervis¢ the fin8nciat affairs of the cl]aTity.
We are of the opinion that these measures are appropriats to the CI￿lty'S size and the nature of its
operdtions.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
A summary of the yeavs rcsuits call be found in the financial ststements. The deficit for the year

The regular income of the charity was mainly derived from It￿£pendent school's fee& from charity
services to the 2 VA Schools and Wandsworth Borough Councll ￿ant for Nursery as per heAd count.

Basis of *c¢ounting
The accounts have been prepar&1 under the historical c05t convention alld in accordance with
applicable United Kingdom accounting standards and the requitYm¢nts of the Stsrcment of
Recommended Pra¢tic¢ 'Accounting and RepoTtiog by Charities. issued in March 2005 (SORP
2005).
Going Concern
The Trustees assess whether the use of going concern is appropriate (i.e.) wh¢ther there is any
material uncertainties related to events or conditions that may cast significant doubt on the ability
of the trust to Continue &$ a going collcem. The Tn￿tteS make this assessment in respeGt of each
fJJwiGial year. The ttustees have concluded there aff no maieTial uncertainties.

Ail incoming reSoU￿eS are recognised wheD the Trust bas the eotitlanent to the funds. certainly
of receipt and the amount can be me4suTed with sufficient reliability.
School fees
School fees that have b¢en ￿ellyed prior to the year end and which relate to aotivities in
subsequent y¢ar4 are treated as def¢￿ed income in the year of T￿lPt and are released in the
relevant period thereaft¢r.
Grants receivable
Grants are included in the Statement of Financial Adivities on a receivable b&sis. The balance of
iDwme receiv￿ for specific purposes but not expended during the period is shown in the
relevant funds on the balance sheeL Where ineome is received in advance of ¢ntitlement of
receipL its recognition is defenrd attd in¢luded in creditors as deferred income. Where
elltitlcment occurs before income is received, the income is accrned.

Other income

directly attributed to 5Wticular headings thcy have been all￿ed on a basis consistent with the
use of resouwes, with central staff costs allocated on the b&8is of time S￿ll( and depreciation
charges allocated 00 the portion of the asset's use. Other support costs are all(￿ted based on the
spread of staff costs.
