SECTION D: Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
We have had a number of notable achievements this year, including the installation of two new picnic tables made from oak sleepers and built by a local carpenter. It was great to see the volunteers turn out to help install these heavy tables that highlight the great craftsmanship we have in the area.
Despite not being able to raise funds through events, we have tried to take advantage of opportunities as they have arrison throughout the year. One particular change resulting from lock-down is that parents and children are looking at what resources we have available locally. This has led to discussions with a large quarry company in the area about use of their land and potential funding. We also had additional volunteers join our team.
SECTION E: Financial Review
Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves
Funds raised are designated for specific aspects of our strategic plan and held in our charity account until we have sufficient funds. Any non-descript donations are used at the Trustees discretion and typically go towards funding events.
