FRIENDS OFTHE MOUNT(PEMBS) CHAIRMANS ANNUAL REPORT The Trustees have continued to guide the Mount Community Centre through another year, and has consolidated the the Centre on the Mount Estate. The Centre users groups :_ The 555 Club - Pembs CC Fying start Group and Plant Dewi - continue but regrettably Pembs CC Numeracy Group disbanded due to lack of funding during 2025. However Pembs. CC Tenancy Dept. have commenced using the Centre in October and will continue until March 2026, and hopefuLLy they will continue to use the centre into 2026. Their presence has brought extra use for vulnerable families on the estate, which has proved very successful. The Marquee has been removed as the Trustees agreed that due to lack of use it is no Longer viable to keep it up. We hope that weather permitting in 2026 to revamp the yard and erect a new storage shed. 2 newTrustees have joined the committee, Ms ELeanor Edwards from the PCC Tenancy team and Fr. Adrian Furse , the Priest at St. Katharine's Church, at the later end of 2025, and Mr. Steve Blunt, of the 555 Club, joined the Trustees early in 2025.1 welcome them all and look forward to their contribution in 2026. Trustees will continue to improve the Centre and also to attract new users in the coming year for the benefit of the residents of the Estate.
