subcommittee of the Board and is made up of Board members and elected members. The terms of

Objettives and activities
The club objectives are the promotlon of communlty partlclpatlon In healthy recreatlon In particular
by the provision of factlities for the 5POrt of rowing. The Clubs actfvities are the provision of facilities,
equipment and coaching and competition support for members of the club and it makes recreational
sport, in parkncular rowing available to members of the community.
Achlevements and performance
This year we contlnued to attract new members to both adult and junior sections through a successful
learn to row season, and enjoyed significant success in the raclng calendar.
A bursary has been established to support members in financial difficulty.
Flnanclal revlew
The committee are satisfied with the club's financial performance, especially after completing the
major new slte bulld.
Plans for future perlods
The Club future plans are aimed at Increaslng access to rowlng for as wlde a range of people as is
possible. to continue to encourage young people to take up the sport, to increase the Clubs profile and
presence in the rowln8 world by growing its ability and experlence to host rowing events and to
identify a venue whlch Is suitable for use as a permanent base for the club.

This report has been prepared in accordance wlth the provisions applicable to companles entitled to
the small companies exemption.

company,) for the yearended 31 December 2024.
Responsibilities and basls of report
As the directors of the company (and also its directors for the purposes of company law) you are
responsible forthe p￿paration of the financialstatements In accordancewith the requirements of the
Companies Act 2006 ('the 2006 ACV).
Having satisfied myself that the accountsof the company are not requlred to be audited under Part 16
of the 2006 Act and are eligible for independent examination. I report in respect of my examination of
the companVs accounts as carried out under settion 145 of the Charities Act 2011 ('the 2011 Act,). In
carrying out my examination I have followed the Directions given by the Charity Commission under
section 145(5){b) of the 2011 Act.

I have completed my examlnation. I confirm that no matters have come to my attention in connection
wlth the examlnation giving me cause to belleve:

These financial statements have been prepared in Complian￿ with FRS 102, 'The Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland,, the Statement of
Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland {FRS 102) (Charities
SORP (FRS 102)) and the Companies Act 2006.

The financlal statements have been prepared on the hlstorical c05t basis, as modified by the
revaluation of certain financial assets and liabilities and investment properties measured at fair
value through income or expenditure.
The financial statements are prepared in sterlin& which is the functional currency of the entity.

There are no material uncertainties about the charitvs abillty to continue.
Judgements and key sources of estimation untrrtalnty
The preparation of the financial statements requires management to make judgements,
estimates and assumptions that affect the amounts reported. These estirnates and judgements
are continually reviewed and are based on experien￿ and other factors, including expectations
of future events that are believed to be reasonable under the circumstances.
Fund accountlng
Unrestricted funds are available for use at the discretion of the trustees to further any of the
charity's purposes.
Designated funds are unrestricted funds earmarked by the directors for partlcular future project
or commitment.
Restricted funds are subjected to restrictions on their expenditure decla￿￿ by the donor or
through the terms of an appeal, and fall into one of two sub-classes: restrlcted income funds or
endowment funds.

Resources expended
Expenditure is recognised on an accruals basis as a liability is incurred. Expenditure includes any
VATwhich cannot be fully recovered, and is classified under headingsof the statement of financial
activities to which it relates:
expenditure on raising funds includes the costs of all fundraising attivities, events, non-
haritable trading activities. and the sale of donated goods.
expenditure on charitable activities includes all costs incurred by a charity In undertaking
activities that further its charitable aims for the benefit of its beneficiaries. including those
support costs and costs relating to the governance of 'the charity apportioned to charitable

other expenditure includes all expenditure that is neither related to raising funds for the
charity nor part of its expenditure on charitable activities.
All costs are allocated to expenditure categories reflecting the use of the resource. Direct cost5
attributable to a single activity are allocated directly to that act7vity. Shared costs are apportioned

Tangible assets
Tangible assets are initialty recorded at cost, and subsequently stated at cost less any
accumulated depreciation and impairment losses. Any tangible assets carried at revalued
