The club owns 6 Cornish Pilot Gigs which are

permitting. Gig rowing is a popular recreational
and team sport throughout the South West and
further afield. “Open” racing regattas, including
a “Masters”, are organised by the club which
also participates in events held by other clubs,
notably the World Championships held in the

unfortunately our main regatta was cancelled
due to adverse weather conditions. Two jumble
sales and quiz nights have raised additional

It is my responsibility to: - examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act; - to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity - to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. ## **Basis of independent examiner's report** My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. That examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Lyme Regis Gig Club and a comparison of the accounts with those records. It also includes considering any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters.
