Relationships have been establishad with I(1 schools wilh the objective of intrrxluung the SFM)rt to more youngsters and bringing them through the dub ranks. The club has participaled in the establishment of an Indoor Rowrng Centre in Lyme Regis and has helped the provision of equipmenL The club parttc4patgd in the 2023 IOS World Championships. scoring very creditable resutts ift a number of dasses. as a resutt the dub has (exceptionally) Lwi invited to send two gigs to the 2024 event. The club has entered numerous other regattas during the year and frequenty achieving highly placed results. The club organised its own mast age group regatta in May and rovtding a fan12stic (Jays rac#ng and spectade in Lyme Bay. Equipment has been Fepaired, repEad aTxI wxlated where e[sary. Independent examiners report to the Trustees of Lyme Regis Gig Club
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts for Lyme Regis Gig Club (“the charity”) for the year ended 30 September 2023.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the 2011 Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act.
Independent examiner’s statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:
- accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the 2011 Act; or 2. the accounts do not comply with these records
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
