Objectives
he provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of Bishop Middleham
without distinction of political. religious or other opinions, including use for (al meetings, lectures and
classes, and Ibl other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving
the conditions of life for the inhabitants."

The uses of the hall are many and varied to cater for all sections of the community- During the year
these have included:_

The Trustees have tsken regard to the Charity Commission Guidance on Public Benefit

Achievements
In addition to retaining existing regular users the Village Hall was successful in attrdcting new groups
including, a Youth Club, Chair based Yoga and Dog Training. Following a major ref￿sh of facilities
utilising grants and volunteers in 2023, the Village Hall Trustees seojred funding in 2024 to make
improvements to stage lightr"nE. The improved facilities have encouraged more activities, and more
diverse users.
Finan
The Trustees tan report total Income for the year at £17,957 and expenditure of £18,170. These figures
include the support of four Government Grants totalling £1,709. Income on activities and hirings was
£16.248 with expenditure of £13.066. A full review of hire charges and discretionary discounts was
undertsken with artions to implemented in 2025 finanoal year and beyond.
The Bishop Middleham Village Hall reserves policy is to hold back funds equivalent to 3 months totsl
monthly average ￿n￿$tricted income as Reserves.
The purpose of holding these reserves is to cover the risk of unforeseen emergency or other
unexpected need for funding andlor unforeseen day to day operational costs.
In 2024 the amount of reserves held was £4(KQ.
Strurture. Governan￿ and Management
The Trust is a registered CIO Iregistered 24 August 2017 No 117340).
Trustees are elected annually at the Annual General Meeting.
Meetings of the Trustees are held monthly at which membefs of the public are welcome to attend but
not vote. Additional meetings may be called by the Chair as requkred.

As the tharitys trustees. you are responsiblè for the preparation of the
accounts in accordan￿ with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in (arrying out my examination. I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
